A Playground for Authors Jason White and Michael Schutz-Ryan

I’ve had I don’t know how many blogs since 2006. At least five or six. I hope that this will turn out to be the hub of everything I enjoy writing about. What you will find here are news on my writing life on this page. You’ll also find my opinion articles on movies and books. Soon I will figure out how to incorporate my web design blog to this blog. Right now I am undecided if I really want to do this because web design is such a different beast from my other interests. Web design is very business-centric, and so I’m not certain if it would be appropriate to mix my love for that with my love for horror and dark fiction.

Who knows. Maybe I will find a way to integrate both worlds.

Anyone who does know the Internet well might also notice that this is a WordPress template I’m using. There’s a good reason for this. I’m a student, and a poor one at that with a baby boy to take care of. So, I don’t the money to upgrade my account just yet.

Soon, though.

My plan is to make this site a central hub for everything that is Jason White enterprises, which encompasses my fiction and web design. Recently, Permuted Press accepted my novel, The Haunted Country, for publication, so you can count on finding information about that and the trilogy I’m writing for them here as well.

If you’re interested, you can download a free short story of mine. Unfortunately, it’s only in Kindle format right now, but it’s DRM free and so you can convert it to whatever you want if you have Calibre. The story is called Surviving the Fittest and is a prelude to The Haunted Country. The title is also the title of the trilogy. You can find the story in the footer, or you can download it here, and if you like it, feel free to head on over to Amazon and check out my store.

As time goes on this site will go through changes. One of the first changes I plan on making is purchasing another domain name. Then I’ll upgrade WordPress. Please join me and together we can see where this crazy beast is heading.
